Eucalyptus oil is a colorless to pale yellow liquid. It has a scent similar to camphor and ice flakes. Relative density (25/25 ℃), melting point not lower than -15.4 ℃. Refractive index 1.4580-1.4700 (20 ℃). Optical rotation -5 °~+5 °. Almost insoluble in water, soluble in ethanol.

Mainly used in the preparation of cough suppressants, mouthwashes, insect repellent ointment, and essence for toothpaste, tooth powder, candy, etc.
